The
Bisexual Imaginary: Representation, Identity and Desire by
Bi Academic Intervention (Editors), Ann Kaloski-Naylor (Co-editor
and Contributor)
A wide-ranging analysis of bisexual concerns and
a timely argument for the centrality of bisexual theory to gender
studies, lesbian and gay studies, and cultural and literary
studies.
"There is a maturity and thoughtfulness in
this collection which marks the beginning of a shift away from the
defensive position of 'all the myths about bisexuals are untrue
and we're wonderful people really' and towards a more critical
analysis of some of the bisexual community's cherished articles of
faith, such as the emphasis on 'diversity'. To me this is a
welcome sign that we are starting to look critically at our own
assumptions - which is, after all, one of the main aims of the
editors' much-needed 'intervention.'" -- Claire Parry, BCN
This text includes an Introduction, round table
discussion, and article by Ann Kaloski-Naylor on bisexual readings
of lesbian feminist coming out fiction.

There is so much information and mis-information
about Bisexuals and Bisexuality out there. It's hard to separate
out the fact from the fiction. We've provided a number of
documents to correct some misperceptions and fight the Bi-phobia
that still rages through both the heterosexual and homosexual
communities.
Articles:
 | Questions and Answers
is a document that was created by BiNet USA and the GLAAD
Bi Visibility Project. It will help to allay the fears of
those of you who are discovering your own Bisexuality, and
educate others as to some of the experiences that Bisexuals go
through in their own coming out.
|
 | Rhetoric and Reality
is a constantly-growing document, where BiNet USA takes aim at
some of the more obnoxious and untrue statements uttered by
politicians and Washington. It debunks some of the more
widely-held myths, and is a must-read for every Bisexual
activist.
|
 | A Brief History of Bisexuality
traces the evolution of Bisexual activist in this country
since Stonewall. |
