Funds Colorado nonprofits in the areas of: social justice, children and youth, leadership development, arts and culture, public broadcasting and excellence in communications. The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado supports quality community programs while building public awareness of the contributions that gay men and lesbians make as part of American society.

Gill Foundation

The Gill Foundation was established in 1994 by Tim Gill, the founder and chairman of Quark, Inc., a Denver-based computer software company. Tim Gill and the Gill Foundation have provided over $10 million to hundreds of organizations and programs serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community and people living with HIV/AIDS. Through the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado, the Foundation funds Colorado nonprofits in the areas of: social justice, children and youth, leadership development, arts and culture, public broadcasting and excellence in communications. In addition, the foundation operates the OutGiving Department which provides technical assistance and other resources to support the communities it serves. The Gill Foundation and OutGiving Department are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, while the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado...

Meet Tim Gill:

A successful software entrepreneur, and one of two openly gay individuals on the 1997 Forbes 400 list, Tim Gill is an active philanthropist who cares passionately about many issues. Through both his philanthropy and his socially conscious business practices, Tim is setting a powerful example by valuing all people for their unique talents, backgrounds and skills. Through the Gill Foundation, Tim provides millions of dollars annually to gay and lesbian and HIV/AIDS organizations along with other charitable causes.

Tim has always been an advocate for civil rights. In addition to funding the gay and lesbian movement by supporting hundreds of national and local organizations, he is also a strong supporter of social justice organizations and educational institutions.
